A Super Check-In For Super Bowl XLV

They call it The Big Game for a reason. Last Sunday, amidst Aaron Rodgers’ and Green Bay’s championship run, we experienced a pretty enormous response for Super Bowl Sunday. With over 200,000 Super Bowl Sunday check-ins from parties around the world, in four hours it became our most checked into venue ever (and the largest online check-in event of all time!). Here’s a couple of the interesting things we saw:

  • From the creation of the venue onwards, Packers fans outnumbered their Steelers counterparts. At no minute during the game was Steeler Nation stronger.

  • There were check-ins from Super Bowl parties in all 50 states, and 125 countries, including 13 check-ins from the Vatican. The NFL truly reaches everyone.

We weren’t quite prepared for all the excitement (our sincere apologies to those of you who had trouble finding the location at first; our ‘trending’ server was a bit hampered by the overwhelming traffic), but thank you everyone for participating. And congrats to the Packers and The Pack for an amazing run!
