Check in for frequent traveler rewards from Starwood

Today Starwood Preferred Guest, with their hundreds of hotels and resorts around the world, took the SPG loyalty program concept a step further by partnering with foursquare in what is the first truly global loyalty integration of its kind. Now, when you check in, you can rack up points, unlock Free Resort Nights, participate in various giveaways, and earn rewards faster than ever.

Here at foursquare, we think a lot about the best ways to help merchants reward your loyalty. Earlier this year, we teamed up with Vons to help build smarter loyalty programs for their stores. Heineken soon followed suit and utilized the foursquare API to create a similar loyalty program. At SXSW, we partnered up with American Express to reward AmEx cardholders at local businesses, including our first test of load to card functionality. This partnership is another exploration into what’s possible.
