Introducing foursquare Follow Friday (for Lists!): university edition

Though we only launched Lists two weeks ago, hundreds of thousands have already been created. To help highlight some of the amazing ones, we’re kicking off foursquare Follow Fridays (#4sqFF… hat-tip to our friends at Twitter!).

The inaugural batch of #4sqFF is made up of university-created Lists. As the new school year kicks off, we’ve seen a _ton_ of great uses of foursquare on campus. Some schools have created self-guided campus tours for visitors. Others have must-do game day traditions. A bunch are helping guide new students through Welcome Week. The possibilities are endless, but here are a few of our favorites:

  • West Virginia University recommends popular outdoor activities on campus and surrounding areas (with links to hiking maps and trails!)
  • Duke provides info on all the places students can access wireless printers on campus (super helpful at 4am when you have a midterm paper due in a few hours!)
  • Texas A&M takes you on a historical tour of the university, as told through places
  • University of California – Berkeley helps old friends reunite with the ultimate welcome back to campus list for Homecoming weekend

To see more great uses of University (and student-created) Lists, follow us at @4sqOnCampus! And be sure to share your own favorite Lists with the hashtag #4sqFF.
