All your foursquare Lists, now in your foursquare app!

When we launched foursquare Lists on our website, we were super-excited about people creating and sharing lists of their favorite places. In just the first day, people put together thousands of lists, and, since then, we’ve gotten hundreds of thousands more.

Starting today, you can finally use your lists while you’re out and about – Lists in the app. When you download the update, you will see the ‘To-Do List’ tab has been renamed ‘Lists.’ In addition to your all-purpose, whatever-you’re-up-for-trying To-Do List, it now has all the lists you’ve made, the lists you follow, and (most exciting of all) suggested nearby lists.

In a new city? Tap on ‘Lists’ and see nearby selections of landmarks, or things to do on a rainy afternoon, or bars with cheap happy hours. While you’re exploring, you can tap into the 10,000,000-strong foursquare community (and thousands of amazing brands) for ideas. There’s even a spiffy new map view so you can see them all in the world around you. Following that ‘best chicken and waffles’ list? In the map view, you can see which ones you’re closest to when you’re hungry. It’s a great way to plan out your day.

And, if you see places you want to try, you can add them to a list on the go. As you’re wandering around, just tap the ‘+ SAVE’ button and you can add a place to any existing list or create a new one. It’s great if you’re keeping track of places you want to go this weekend, or your perfect date night.
