Honoring those who have served
It’s always interesting for us to see the different ways people use foursquare to stay in touch. A number of months ago, we heard of one such use: families in the U.S. using foursquare so their deployed loved ones could keep track of what was going on in their lives. For a deployed father, it’s great to visit foursquare.com and see his wife checked in at a son’s soccer game. Or to get some sense of the pulse of his family’s schedule.

Today is Veterans Day, so we’ve created a Service badge in honor of all those who serve. You can unlock the badge by checking in at a Veterans Day celebration, or, even after the weekend, if you’re part of a service family and check in three times at your home base.
We wanted to do a small thing to recognize those who have served. Happy Veterans Day!
P.S. Check out IAVA.org to find out how they can support our nation’s newest generation of heroes.
