Black Friday is fast approaching, which means there are flat screens to buy and giant pyramids of Justin Bieber dolls to be toppled.

For this year’s all-day shopping frenzy, you’ll need more than just elbow pads and rabid deal-hunting enthusiasm – take a spin with foursquare’s Black Friday Survival Guide!

Find foursquare Specials
There are a ton of Black Friday foursquare Specials across the country (see some great ones on our infographic. Here’s how to find them!

• On your phone: Tap on the ‘Explore’ tab in the foursquare app and hit the bright orange ‘Specials’ button to find all the deals nearby. Expand the radius (by tapping on the number in the top left) for more deals!
• On foursquare.com: Check out the map on the homepage to see Specials in the neighborhood, marked in orange. Zoom out or drag the map around to see more!
• Don’t forget to hit ‘+SAVE’ on ones you want to be reminded about later!

Arm yourself with useful foursquare Tips
Look for tips at the places you want to visit beforehand and get recommendations from other people on foursquare, from where to park to favorite things to buy. You can also get insider tips from brands and publications, like Lucky Magazine and Bravo for the best holiday deals and hottest items. Either look on your phone when you’re waiting outside, or plan ahead and check for tips the night before on foursquare.com.

Find sustenance while you shop
Black Friday shopping requires stamina. And caffeine. And specialty pretzels. While you’re out shopping, use the ‘Explore’ tab to search for great recommendations nearby. Try out the ‘Food’ or ‘Coffee’ categories, or look for something more specific, like ‘Smoothies’.

Share your finds with friends
While you make your way through your Black Friday list like a pro, check in with photos to document your amazing finds (or the crazy eyes of that shopper in front of you). You can even share the photos on Facebook and Twitter.

*Pro-Tip: Make yourself a handy guide by creating a Black Friday List with all the shops you want to hit up. You’ll get reminders about them on your phone when you’re out and about or searching for places to go to on your ‘Explore’ tab. Track your progress by marking the places as ‘Done’!
