Check in, save money on pizza, and watch the big game on #SuperSwarmSunday

What would the big game be without a big pizza party? This Sunday, when you check in to Super Swarm Sunday and spend at least $10 at Pizza Hut, you’ll receive a $5 credit on your Amex statement! It’s our biggest check in event of the year!

How it works
This Sunday, starting a few hours before kickoff and until the end of the game, you’ll be able to check in to Super Swarm Sunday and unlock your $5 off Pizza Hut Special – just in time for the big game! Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open up the foursquare app on your phone
  2. Tap ‘Check In’ to find the US-wide Super Swarm Sunday location. Check in to unlock the Special!
  3. You then tell American Express your foursquare account name by tapping ‘Sync my card’ (don’t worry, we don’t store your card info… we’re just delivering the deal!). If you’re already synced, just tap ‘Load to card.’
  4. That’s it! Order over $10 from Pizza Hut online, by phone, or in participating stores by Feb 12, and pay with with your American Express® Card. You’ll see the $5 credit on your statement in a few days.

    I can understand why this deal may only be run by Pizza Hut US, but why would the Super Swarm Sunday location only be US-wide?  People world-wide watch the superbowl.  Even if they unlock the Special, what’s the harm?  They still need to order from Pizza Hut online, using a US AMEX card, for delivery to a US location to qualify.  And if someone living overseas but with a US AMEX card is inspired to send a pizza to a friend in the US, I’m sure AMEX and Pizza Hut would be delighted.

    I work at Pizza Hut and use 4sqr everyday. I agree that it shouldn’t be limited to a US-wide check-in, I have a lot of friends that use it in other countries just as much and watch the Super Bowl. Completely agreed.

    I would like to add that just using AMEX  only was somewhat of a bad decision. It limits the users incentive.

    I don’t use credit cards (debit, but not credit) anymore. If they are going to start limiting badges and incentives to things like credit card use, I won’t be able to earn them. And, no, I’m not going to go apply for an AmEx card (or any other credit card) just because of a badge or a discount. The concept of staying out of debt means much more to me.

    that means you have too many cc! DUH!! Personally I don’t and will never own one again!!!!!! If you can’t buy it with cash or check you don’t need it and should save for it later. And yes I had a cc, I live in the middle of nowhere and people were still able to still my card info with a card reader, can’t prove it, so I’m stuck with the charges!! Being an adult doesn’t mean having a credit card, it means being responsible!!! :)

    Its a campaign for AMEX, so AMEX is paying Foursquare to do this, to get people to use their cards instead of those other ones that you talked about. If you have an AMEX card then its a great deal, and I guess what AMEX is hoping is that you will go get one.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with having credit cards as long as you know how to maintain one! AMEX cards have bigger and better benefits than just about any other card out there. Between cash back, incentives, and discounts, using my credit card actually takes my dollar a lot farther than a dollar from my stupid debit card.
