BlackBerry-verse – Exploring on the go just got more awesome!

Out sightseeing and looking for a place to get lunch off the beaten path? Or maybe you’re on your way to a new city and you want to find some dinner recommendations near your hotel before you arrive. With today’s BlackBerry update, we’ve supercharged Explore to make it even easier to find whatever you’re craving right from your phone.

Your recommendations are lookin’ good
Every time you find a place with Explore, we find the right recommendations for you, based on where you’ve been, lists you follow, time of day, and the 1,500,000,000 check-ins from the foursquare community. With this new version, we share more of the logic with you. You’ll also see pricing information, photos, tips, and friends who have been there right in the results.

Choose your own adventure!
With the new Explore filters, you can find whatever type of adventure you’re craving, whether it’s places you’ve never been or places your friends love. Need a recommendation near home and not work? Now you can get recommendations for anywhere in the world.

Check out the menu before you get there
We’ve partnered with SinglePlatform to provide menus at over 250,000 places across the U.S. You’ll now be able to tap ‘View Menu’ and make sure there’s a dish to please everyone in your group.

The explore update and design changes are beautiful. Thank You. Unfortunately this version really messed up my GPS. Checkins are off by over a mile. Sprint BlackBerry Bold 9930. Sent support email with debug info already

Darn, just when I was going to ask if this update fixed the terrible GPS on BlackBerry.  Sadly, using Foursquare on other devices is great.  Using GPS on my BlackBerry with other apps is great.  Foursquare on BlackBerry?  Crap.

Great update and the new user interface for the profile pages and the explore section are really smooth and make the app that bit more better.

I do still struggle to sometimes find venues, and then if i do, they are always alot further out than what they really are. My Blackberry’s GPS is really good, but like the other commenters have said, GPS with foursquare is really poor! :(

Like the new upgrade, but now uses the BB GPS map and my blackberry doesn’t have Peru’s map, so it is in blank, the other version was working with google maps and was ok, google maps works fine in Peru. Maybe you can change it to google maps again in a next version please!.

    Thanks a lot
